Barbara Frederikse (She/Her), BA, LLB, BCL, TEP

Barbara Frederikse is the founder of Fieldstone Law, established in 2017 following her transition from a boutique firm on Bay Street. She offers a personalized and strategic approach to estate planning, advising clients on Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts with a focus on clarity, compassion, and long-term vision.

Barbara began her legal career in commercial litigation, which instilled in her a keen awareness of the risks posed by poorly drafted documents. She works closely with clients to ensure they make informed decisions that feel right for them—balancing legal precision with practical insight.

Fieldstone Law also practices in corporate law, enabling Barbara to advise business owners on operating agreements, shareholder arrangements, and buy-sell agreements that coordinate seamlessly with their business and estate planning goals. Her team further supports clients with real estate matters, particularly those involving estate administration.

Barbara holds degrees in both common law and civil law from McGill University. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds the internationally recognized Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, underscoring her commitment to excellence and integrity in the field. She is also active in the legal community and deeply committed to local engagement, currently serving on the Board of ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids).
