Sharon Davis

Sharon provides planning advice to clients regarding Wills, Powers of Attorney and inter vivos Trusts, including Alter Ego Trusts, Family Trusts, Insurance Trusts, Inheritance Trusts, Henson Trusts and Qualified Disability Trusts. She also provides advice related to succession planning for privately held business corporations, real estate issues pertaining to Estates, the fiduciary duties of Executors and Trustees, and issues commonly experienced by seniors such as capacity disputes. Sharon’s litigation practice includes Will interpretations, Will challenges, Dependent Support applications, Trustee disputes, Passing of Accounts and Guardianship applications. She also acts as a neutral third-party mediator assisting parties in estate matters to settle their disputes out of court.

Sharon’s natural insight, compassion and talent for quickly identifying the true goals and best interests of her clients, allow her to fashion practical and effective solutions for their estate-related legal issues. Her powerful communication skills are distinguished by focus, clarity, accuracy and fairness.

Sharon is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she completed her B.A. (Psychology) at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) in 1989 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991. She also has a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Dispute Resolution (2023) from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Sharon has run her own practice since 2012 and brings over three decades of knowledge, experience and leadership to Cambridge LLP.
